About
The name is the mission.
A mill doesn't shout. It sits by the stream, turns its wheel, and grinds out something useful — day after day, whether or not anyone is watching. That's the software we want to build: quiet machinery that does its job so well you forget it's there.
Quietmill is an independent software studio based in the United Kingdom, founded in 2026. We're small by design — small enough that every app is held to the same standards, and support email lands with the people who actually wrote the code.
We work in the unglamorous corners of big platforms: the approval that nobody answered, the record that didn't renew, the sync that almost works. These problems are too small for the platform vendors to prioritise and too annoying for teams to keep living with. That's our patch. We find the gap with the longest paper trail of frustration, build the smallest app that genuinely closes it, and list it in the marketplace you already trust with your billing and your data.
We also build with modern automation throughout — it's how a deliberately small studio ships reliable software, answers support inside a business day, and keeps prices honest. The judgment, the standards and the accountability stay human.

Quietmill opens with one rule already written: evidence before code.
- 2026 — Approval Nudge ships
Our first app: reminders & escalation for Jira Service Management approvals — the fix teams had requested since 2018, built on Atlassian Forge with zero egress.

Research underway on long-standing gaps around HubSpot, monday.com and Xero. We announce products when they ship, not before.
